Thank Goodness we have Hardi-plank!

This is the scene our fireplace installers arrived to this morning!
Someone had lit a Jerry-can with gas in it against the wall.
The only damage is smoke to the siding and the electrical conduit is scorched,
Hubby will look this evening after work to see if should be replaced.
This event has knocked both of us a little sick. The vicious dog next door barked in the night but her owner says that she usually is barking at cats and raccoons so the owner ignores it usually. She says she will be more cognisant of the barking.
