This week's doings

Tar paper is being installed on the walls so siding will start soon.  The guys have been installing the large brackets that attach the corners of the building to the foundation. These are all things that are slowly becoming law for new builds. So when the big one hits this house will be the only one left standing for miles around!! In the aftermath of the tsunami we will be able to drive our boat over it and say"boy that house survived well!!"
The plumber has also almost finished the piping . The man that will be doing the ducting for the heat will probably start next week and Hubby is doing electrical as I type.
We have a new worry, hooking up the electrical to the existing poles. As we are putting two houses on the property ,BC Hydro thinks they will have to put in another pole with a transformer between the lots! We have no idea yet as to who pauys for that, we will find out early next week according to a lady at BC Hydro.
